#4 Goodhue (26-5) pulled off a 65-58 come
from behind win over #5 Ada-Borup (28-2) in
the MSHSL Class A Quarterfinals played at
Mariucci Arena on the campus of the
University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

Ada-Borup led by as many as seven points in
the second half before Goodhue flipped the
margin around for the final score.

Goodhue senior guard Mikayla Miller, the
school's all-time scoring leader, led the charge
for the Wildcats with 25 points, 11 rebounds
and four steals.

But it was eighth grade forward Sydney
Lodermeier that was the hero down the
stretch as she scored six points in the final 24
seconds to protect a late 59-57 lead to give
the Wildcats breathing room at the end.

Lodermeier was perfect in four free throw
attempts, scored on a fastbreak layup and had
a key defensive rebound to seal the win down
the stretch.

She finished with 14 points off the bench on
perfect 4-4 shooting and 6-7 free throw
shooting.

The Cougars were led by three players in
double-figures in scoring as seniors Shaina
Stevenson and Monica Vega each had 13
points and junoir guard scored 10 points off
the bench.

Despite the lead staying within seven points
the entire way, the game only featured five
ties and two lead changes throughout.

Goodhue will advance to the Class A
Semifinals against #1 Minneota (31-1) on
Friday, March 21 at 12 p.m. at Williams Arena.
